Reg 50484 (Nov. 6, 2025). On June 25, 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a favorable decision in a similar case concerning TPS terminations. Mullin v. Doe, 609 U.S. ____ (2026). The South Sudan TPS designation is terminated, effective Aug. 7, 2026. What this means for Forms I-766, Employment Authorization Documents, (EADs): Forms I-766, Employment Authorization Document, (EADs) with category A12 or C19 … issued to TPS South Sudan beneficiaries are no longer valid. Employers must reverify TPS South Sudan beneficiaries who presented these EADs and cannot continue employing a person who does not provide proof of current employment authorization.
